He married Carolyn A. Carson in 1955. When he quit teaching, Bob built houses full time and was a successful Residential Contractor in the Topeka area. Jim was born on Sunday November 13, 1949 to Delbert and Maxine (Kind) in Junction City, Kansas. He had a twin brother John Patrick, who died two days after birth.
